The Fight Against Porn and The Theory of Porn Addiction

Christian groups, anti-porn feminists and right wing conservatives have long campaigned against pornography. They argue that porn degrades women, that it is not respectful of morality, and that it is simply offensive.

More recently anti-porn campaigners have started to focus on the idea that porn, particularly internet porn, is addictive. They argue that porn addiction is like a gambling addiction, and can bring about financial ruin and family breakdown.

This has inspired a whole new area of debate within the broader realms of the porn discussion. Both sides seem to have scientific research to back themselves up.
